Digital Leadership Conferences since 2005

2024

For the 2nd time, we started the year with an international conference in Florida. CMS Kickoff 24 grew to 70 participants, added a few more speakers, Directus won CMS Idol 2024 and we even did a CMS Quiz! Read more about in these posts:

You can also browse the program and download the slides or even lean back and enjoy the brief video below which features some of the highlights:

Matt Garrepy from CMS Critic recorded a handful of brief interviews, which are also worth watching:

2023 - now also in Florida, Hamburg and Liverpool

We started the year with our new CMS Kickoff conference in Florida - a unique conference for the global CMS community held at the historic Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach. Some 40 participants joined us from near and far and helped get the year started.

In May, we then did a MarTech briefing with Scott Brinker in both Hamburg and Copenhagen on 23 May. Our very first afternoon seminar in Hamburg kindly hosted by our friends at Haiilo. In Copenhagen we returned to Imperial Hotel, which we also used in the early days back in 2005.

In June, it was time for UX Connect 23 - our 2-day conference focusing on the intersection between design and sustainability delivered as a joint collaboration with Vertica . You can find more details about the conference in this comprehensive review of the key sessions written by industry luminary Rahel Bailie at ICP: The effect of user experience on sustainability - a review of UX Connect.

In September we held HE Connect 23 in Liverpool. A big success. Eric Greenberg, Marketing Operations Leader at Wharton posted this conference summary on LinkedIn based on his participation: What's the best Higher Ed conference you've been to?

Finally, and for the 19th time, in November it was time for the Boye Aarhus 23 conference. CJ Walker returned to Aarhus and wrote this summary: Boye & Company Digital Leadership Conference Notes

2022 - Get Together now also in Manchester and Aarhus in the summer

In June we launched the world’s first in-person conference focus on UX and Sustainability and it was a big success! Also fun to finally host an event in Aarhus in the summer. More to follow, but have a look at UX Connect 2022.

Then in September, we went to Manchester, where we curated our first industry-specific conference for the higher education community: HE Connect 22. Feedback was really good, so we’ll do it again in the UK in 2023.

Finally, we held our 18th annual Boye Aarhus conference in November. For the 1st time we met at Musikhuset, a cultural centre in central Aarhus, and we also had a few other new items on the program:

Two of the three keynote speakers were also new:

2021 - Adapting Together

It turned out, we were done not with the pandemic. Still, we managed to do another international Boye conference in Aarhus with participants from around Europe.

This time, without masks, distancing, and even with a few stops in the night life. Another great learning and networking experience.

2020 - Adapting Together

COVID changed the world and we unfortunately had to cancel our planned Boye 20 Brooklyn conference.

Still, we managed to do our European conference in November. It was different than in past years. With masks, distancing, days that ended at 10pm, but still a great learning and networking experience.
