Employee Experience

What if you could benefit from the expertise of other employee experience professionals, and discover both new and proven methods to handle your challenges?

Your initiatives might just end up benefitting, when you are able to steer clear of the mistakes that other digital workplace professionals have already made on your behalf.

Technology and practices are transforming the workplace. This provides us with an unparalleled opportunity to genuinely improve the employee experience.

Among the members in our Employee Experience groups are large, complex, and global organisations. At the moment we are not accepting vendors and agencies as members.

Each local chapter has a limited number of seats.

Topics

We’ll look at trends: current and forecast, tools and technologies and behaviours as well as what organisations are doing – and crucially, why they are doing it. Topics will include:

  • How AI will transform internal communications

  • Self-organising teams

  • Digital transformation (artificial intelligence, automation, cloud working etc.)

  • Flexible and asynchronous working

  • Social networks and collaboration

  • Connected leadership

  • Managing devices

  • Ensuring that your physical workspace fosters collaboration

What all of these have in common is that technology is an integral part but shouldn’t actually drive this change. And that’s the focus of this group – it’s how we can leverage technology and change practices in order to really improve the exmployee experience.

Group leaders

Brian Tomlinson leads the German groups. He was previously in digital leadership roles at real estate company Engel & Völkers and shipping firm Hapag-Lloyd. Last year, he shared his cookbook on How to choose an intranet in 2022.

He’s been a part of our community for almost a decade, moderated group meetings in Hamburg, Zurich and also been a regular speaker at track leader at the Boye conferences.

What happens in between meetings?

Boye & Company provides meeting minutes from each meeting as well as an online forum for members to continue the conversations in between the meetings.

There are guest speakers at most meetings to provide new insights and further input to the group.

Language, time, place and travel

This group connects us in a confidential setting where we learn and share. The aim is for us to apply what is discussed – collaboratively building new outcomes using the group as a safe place to test new ideas. We’ll meet 3-4 times a year with meetings held in English. Guest speakers will provide external focus to the sessions, bringing in new experiences and ideas.

The group meetings usually are from 9:30 to 14:30, but we might just have one afternoon and social event throughout the year
