• Initially released in 2000 and as of December 2022, Umbraco 11 is the current release

About Umbraco

Umbraco is an open-source content management system written in C# and deployed on Microsoft based infrastructure.

Based in Odense, Denmark the company has grown and so has the amount of customers and partners. Umbraco is in particular known for a vibrant community with their annual Codegarden conference.

Umbraco is a member of our CMS Expert group and has attended several Boye conferences in Aarhus, included in 2005 when their founder Niels Hartvig was a part of it. Niels also made it to our Philadelphia conference in 2010 and more recently Umbraco was at the CMS Kickoff 23.
