About Sue Beckingham

Sue is a Principal Lecturer in Digital Analytics and Technologies within the Department of Computing at Sheffield Hallam University and an Educational Developer in Higher Education.

As LTA Lead (learning teaching and assessment) for the Department of Computing, she takes an active role supporting staff in technology enhanced learning (TEL) and academic development.

She also co-ordinates and facilitates a variety of workshops, seminars and conferences which provide opportunities for peers and students to learn about and share innovations in teaching and learning within higher education.

To disseminate and share good practice, she develops and curates digital educational resources that can be openly shared with colleagues.

As a passionate advocate of the exploration of new and emerging technology, and the use of social media and its use in teaching and learning to enhance the higher education student experience, she regularly presents this work both within her own institution and beyond; and she has been invited to give keynotes both nationally and internationally.

She is also a National Teaching Fellow, Certified Management and Business Educator, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), a Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association (FSEDA) and Executive Committee Member, and a Member of the Association of Learning Technology (MALT).
