About James Cannings
As the Chief Sustainability Officer at one the most innovative marketing agencies in the world, James is passionate about developing lower carbon digital platforms for our clients.
After leaving University with a background in Computer Science and Cybernetics, James co-founded MMT Digital and have grown it from 3 to over 250 people with offices in the Midlands, London and Leeds. In 2019 MMT became part of MSQ which enables them to deliver more connected solutions to our clients across data and insights, creative and technology.
James love working with large organisations who are trying to become more innovative and more agile. Agile transformation is about delivering value to customers as rapidly as possible. Efficacy over efficiency. And he is proud of the teams and processes that we have which enable our clients to achieve this at scale
In 2019 they took MMT Digital Carbon Negative, offsetting more carbon than they produce as well as creating a community within the company so that we can support, track and report on the impact our staff are having, as well as the business. All the tools and processes we used to achieve this have been open-sourced and are available to anyone.
James is also the co-chair of the BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) Sustainability Council
